Starr’s Paris Fashion Week run for the spring-summer 2025 looks had the internet in flames. She sat front row at Balenciaga, Balmain, Christian Louboutin, Corpeni, and Casablanca shows and performed at the Etam show.

From the 23rd of September to the 1st of October, Starr ran the Paris Fashion Week gauntlet. However, her penultimate look took on a life of its own; a quasi-gothic look for the Balenciaga show.

Starr opted for a close-up shot and this created a detailed insight into her makeup. This sparked a slew of Ayra Starr Makeup Trend videos on TikTok, some baring 100,000 plus likes.

STEP 1:

Have a beautifully prepped skin to allow your makeup to sit properly on your face. The key features are the eyebrows, the highlight under the eyes and the black-lined lips

STEP 2:

Shape the brows for a snatched and uplifting look. 

STEP 3:

The shaping of the eyes. You can use either a brown shadow to give a cat-eye shadow or you can use a concealer to sculpt that part of your eyes to give the same effect. 

STEP 4:

The false eyelashes. Light cat-eye lashes, that is lashes that are smaller in front than they are at the back, are used. 

STEP 5:

The lips. Line the lips with a black pencil and do not blend out. 

STEP 6:

Top off with a lipgloss and you’re done.
